- The Ravenshoe/Mt Garnet Rifle Club shoots competitions every Sunday (9am muster for 9.30am start) at the Ravenshoe Shooting Complex located on Cemetery Road in Ravenshoe. Competitions are shot at distances of 300, 400, 500, 600 yards and 700 & 800 meters with one distance shot each week. We shoot several categories of rifles: Target Rifle, F Standard, F Open, F/TR and Sporting-Hunting. The Club welcomes everyone who would like to come and try our sport. RAVENSHOE HARDWARE kindly SPONSORED today’s shoot at 500 yards. Overcast with light rain at times was an unusual setting for the shoot in Raveshoe today. Results for double 500, 10 shot comp: FTR – J Anderson 114.6, M Wood 114.5. F Open – G Venables 115.6. F Standard - P Burg 116.9, B Gianasi 116.6, C Allman 115.8, Kev Chatfield 113.5, Kath Chatfield 109.4, K Randdolph 107.1, M Wilson 106.2, P Padgett 104.4, L Wilson 103.3, J Hazlett 100.3, M Wood 60.4 (half round).
