Results Sunday 25 September 2016

Today’s competition in Ravenshoe was at 600 yards with interesting mirage and light winds, flicking as usual. In Target Rifle Steve Durham shot 15 shots with a score of 73.5. In F Standard Murray Wilson went all the way with a double 15 shot match and a score of 173.12; Liz Wilson decided to do something different and tried a new combination of 10 shots+15 shots match scoring 135.7; Paul Padgett and Mick Wood decided that a 15 shots match was enough for the day and scored 86.4 and 83.2 respectively. The F/TR shooters preferred a 10 shots match: Betta Gianasi shot two rounds scoring 111.1, while Chris Allman shot one round with a score of 56.1.

Next weekend we will host our Annual Prize Meeting. 9am start on Saturday 1 October & 8.30am start on Sunday 2 October. For program and info contact Betta Gianasi at rc.ravenshoe@gmail.com or 4097 7741.

Ravenshoe Shooters acquitted themselves very well in the Atherton Rifle Club’s Annual Prize shoot held on 3rd and 4th September 2016.  Around 30 shooters from the Tableland, Mossman, Cairns and surrounds turned up for the event.  It was good to see homeless travelling gypsies Paul Janzso & wife attending the shoot.
Mick Wood, Murray and Liz Wilson shot in F-Standard Division 1, Betta Gianasi and Paul Padgett shot in the first ever inclusion of F/TR in the annual.
