Due to too hot and sticky conditions, definitely not an English weather, the Bisley style shoot was postponed to a time when weather condition will be more “Bisley” like.  Winds were slightly more clement in Ravenshoe today, but mirage was still showing its full strength. Results for double 600yds: Target Rifle – S. Durham 103.13. F Standard – L. Wilson 116.7, M Wilson 109.4. F Open – P. Padgett 113.3. F/TR – B. Gianasi 118.9, C. Allman 110.4, J. Anderson 104.1.

Partly overcast conditions did not improve the mirage in Ravenshoe today and rapidly switching winds challenged once again the shooters. Results for double 600yds: F Standard – M. Wood 115.4, M. Wilson 114.10. F Open – P. Padgett 114.6. F/TR – B. Gianasi 116.10, C. Allman 114.5, J. Anderson 107.4.

Sunday, December 18: Xmas shoot: Bisley 2x 10 shots comp. at 600yds. 9am muster for 9.30am start. Next General Meeting will be on 8 January 2017.

Another Sunday with very challenging shooting conditions in Ravenshoe today: very hot with plenty of sun made the mirage very hard to read and the target a guess to see at times; switching winds gusty at times challenged the shooters even more. Results for double 600yds are as follow: Target Rifle - S. Durham (Mareeba) 104.6. F Standard – M. Wood 113.8. F Open – P. Padgett 116.2. F/TR – B. Gianasi 116.2, C. Allman 110.5, J. Anderson 100.4, O. Cox 100.2, S. Hartnett 97.3. A very good shoot for Orion and Sam on their time on the range and shooting a .223.
